Have a licenced builder check the condition and workmanship of your new house before Handover. Defects are reported on to give to your builder.
Termites are a very big problem in Queensland. Buildings are recommended to be inspected at least every 12 months and more frequently in high termite areas.
I was a little worried about getting a building and pest inspection and whether it would be worth the money etc. I was extremely happy with the level of detail that went into the building and pest report. It was well and truly above my expectations and any questions I had after in regards to further details they were more than happy to answer the questions. Overall I recommend using this business 100%

These guys did a very professional and quick turn around for our building and pest inspection on a property we just purchased, we also received a call on the completion of the inspection to give us a quick fill in about the report which than followed with an email of photos and the report of the property and they also assured us to call if we had any question.

Bob showed up on time (even a little early) and did a fairly thorough walk through. He pointed out areas of concern and sent a well written report. He was helpful and open to a telephone conversation if there was anything I wasn't sure about. I would definately recommend Local Building and Pest to inspect if you require their service.

Inspector was early for the appointment which is rare, he was very honest and thorough with the inspection and explained the process and how he was going to do things. Upon completion he answered any questions and I had the report in my inbox within 2 hours which I thought was very fast considering the details included.
